Who likes science? raise your hand!

Well the scientist at Emerald BioStructures do so much that they even help their collegues by selling them supplies for protien crystallography through their sister company Emerald BioSystems - www.emeraldbiosystems.com.  

Bright Spectrum was brought in by Emerald's branding company Zoyo Branding to help improve sales through their web site and give them a site that their customers would use. Emerald was using a DotNetNuke/Catalook that no one (customers or employees) really wanted to use. The store made it extremely hard for users to checkout, made products hard to understand and pushed users to not only phone in their order but FAX!!!!!  Administrators were thoughouly confused and frustrated with the management of the backend and the inability to easily create promotions, manage products or manage customers.

Bright Spectrum recommended ASPDotNetStorefront ML8 and brought in our web design partner Gravity Design. The project included massively expanding Emerald's product offerings by including over 250 buffer chemicals and stock solutions and allowing users to select these solutions based on certain conditions. We increased the exposure of their line of large protein crystallography instruments, integrated their E-Screen Custom Screens tool and provided them with an onsite blog using BlogEngine.net.

The new design, along with the redesigned architecture, great integrated tools, easier checkout process and vastly improve backend administration portal has decreased FAX and call in orders, increased sales through the site and overall revenue and made the site a hit for administrators and the Emerald executives.
